New leadership appointments at Edamah to support growth strategy and empower National talent

Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company (Edamah(, the real estate arm of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), has announced the appointment Mr. Hashim Kadhem as Director Investment Advisory, Mr. Hisham Sharaf as Director in Investments and Mr. Mohamed AlQassimi as Head of Marketing & Communications. This move is part of Edamah’s ongoing commitment to empowering national talent and strengthening its strategic capabilities.

Welcoming the new appointments, Mr. Khaled Abdulrahman Al Majed, Chief Executive Officer of Edamah, said: “These appointments bring deep expertise and a strong track record across key functions, enhancing our ability to execute our strategy and continue developing our project portfolio. They also reflect our commitment to supporting and empowering Bahraini talent to achieve the nation’s development goals.”

Edamah’s new Director of Investment Advisory Mr. Hashim Kadhem, who brings extensive experience from the UK and Middle East, having previously served as Director and Head of Professional Services for Bahrain and Saudi Arabia at Savills. During his tenure, he successfully valued assets exceeding USD 5 billion. A Chartered Surveyor and valuer with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), he holds an MSc in Real Estate Finance and a BSc (Hons) in Urban Estate Management from the University of Westminster. He is also a LEED Green Associate.

Edamah’s new Director of Investments is Mr. Hisham Sharaf, who has more than 17 years of experience across real estate investment, fund management, and private equity in regional and international markets. 

Mr. Sharaf has held senior leadership roles at Investcorp, NBK Capital Partners, PineBridge Investments, Arcapita Bank, and Tadhamon Capital, where he contributed to the management and restructuring of real estate investments worth nearly USD 1 billion. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University and is certified by the Central Bank of Bahrain.

Edamah new Head of Marketing & Communications Mr. Mohamed AlQassimi, brings extensive experience with more than 12 years in corporate communications, brand management, and partnerships, having previously served as Senior Manager of Marketing and Partnerships at the National Bank of Bahrain. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Bahrain, a Professional Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the UK, and an Advanced Executive Program in Strategic Marketing from INSEAD.
